ASL Adds Experienced Swim Coach Steven Mills to Staff
Welcome Coach Steven Mills to the Aiken-Augusta Swim League!
We're thrilled to announce a dynamic new addition to the AIken-Augusta Swim League (ASL) coaching staff. Coach Steven Mills. With a passion for swimming and a proven track record of developing athletes across all levels, Coach Steven brings fresh energy and expertise to our team.
Coach Steven joins ASL after three successful years as both the Head Age Group Coach and Head Coach of the CCA Marlins in Virginia. His coaching journey began early, during his sophomore year of high school, when he stepped onto the deck of his local summer league team. Since then, his love for coaching has only grown stronger.
Over the years, Coach Steven has worked with swimmers at every stage of development, including:
- Summer League swimmers
- High school athletes
- Club-level competitors
- Collegiate swimmers
His diverse experience makes him a great fit for ASL's mission of nurturing swimmers from beginner to elite levels.

Coach Steven holds a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with a specialization in therapeutic sciences. He leverages this academic background to create practices that are both innovative and effective. His coaching style emphasizes:
- Technique refinement through targeted drills
- Resistance and equipment-based training
- Helping swimmers develop “the feel” of the water
He believes that happy and engaged swimmers are fast swimmers, and he’s committed to designing practices that challenge athletes mentally and physically while keeping the joy of swimming alive.

Coach Steven is excited to join the ASL family and contribute to the continued success of our swim program. His arrival marks a new chapter for ASL, one filled with creativity, high-performance training, and a renewed focus on swimmer development.
